Friends of Tommy presents
a concert to benefit the
Accelerated Cure Project for
Multiple Sclerosis

September 19, 2010 6:30 PM
National Hispanic Cultural Center

Albuquerque, NM

The mission of Healing, Harmony & Heart is to create a cultural connection between community and business through jazz, advancing awareness of multiple sclerosis and improving resources available to those affected by the disease.

The second annual Healing, Harmony & Heart concert has two featured programs. The Geri Allen Project - Celebrating Eric Dolphy is an all-star collaboration of renowned jazz pianist Geri Allen, multi-instrumentalist Don Byron, alto-saxophonist Oliver Lake, drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts, and bassist Dwayne Dolphin. * Ms. Allen, Don Byron, and Tain Watts were just awarded Downbeat Magazine's Critic's Poll TOP 10 Jazz Artists in 2010!

Antonio Ciacca will open the evening with a special solo program. A renowned jazz pianist, Mr. Ciacca is also the Director of Programming at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis
is dedicated to finding a cure for MS. Its two main efforts are: developing a Cure Map to document what is known and unknown about the causes of MS and creating for use by researchers a large-scale, multidisciplinary repository of blood samples and data from people with MS and other demyelinating diseases.
